Cassville is home to one
of the most beautiful parks in our state system. Roaring River State
Park is only seven miles south of Cassville on Hwy 112. The spring
that feeds Roaring River is located right in the park, and gushes more
than 20 million gallons of water every day. The river is stocked daily
with trout that are grown in the on-site hatchery.
The fishing season
begins March 1st and ends October 31st, with catch-n-release
options available on off-season weekends. Anyone

wishing to fish
must have a Missouri fishing license and a daily trout tag.
Campers will enjoy modern facilities with full hookups available. If you're not into
roughing it, a comfortable cabin or a room in the park's motel may
be more to your liking.
Other activities
available at Roaring River State Park include hiking on the well
maintained trails, relaxing in
the swimming pool, visiting the
nature center, and horseback riding. The park also provides a
full-service restaurant and a lodge where fishing and camping
supplies are sold. Cassville also boasts one of the
finest
golf courses in the area. This 18-hole course with grass
greens and watered fairways provides a full-service clubhouse and
practice range. Cassville is
surrounded on 2 sides by the Mark Twain National Forest.
Cassville has also proven to be an ideal "home base" for vacationers
who want to visit Branson and Eureka Springs, AR.
The 76 Country
Boulevard area of Branson is about fifty miles from Cassville, and the
trip south to Eureka Springs is only thirty five miles. And as always,
the scenery along the routes to these destinations is some of the best
in the Ozarks. You can enjoy the hustle and bustle of Branson and
Eureka Springs, then come "home" to the serenity that Cassville
offers.
If proximity to Table Rock
Lake is important, you're in luck. The nearest point on the lake is only fourteen miles
from Cassville and offers all the necessary recreational facilities. Table Rock Lake with 857 miles
of shoreline. There's also plenty of hunting here.
